i am getting doctoral degree and planning to go back china for research job. however, due to my sexuality, i am having so many considerations. such as, if i go for a 211/985 uni, they will be very traditional(the atmosphere of the uni), every teacher would get married, it will be a huge pressure for me, if i go to peking, guangzhou or shenzhen, probably not every one is in marriage (i will be less pressured), but the rental and property price are so high, also everyone is so distant to each other, especially i know nobody there, it will be scary. if i stay in my hometown, heaps of relatives will be introducing nice girls to me, really challenging.
also, i am not sure post-doc or permanent lecturer job which is better?
if i could have some tips from you will be really appreciated.
